What a glorious day on Tuesday, 14th July 2026 in the presence of the Lord as the Presiding Bishop of CITAM Rev. Dr. Calisto Odede joined CITAM Archer’s Post Community Church and CITAM Laresoro Satellite Church during the handing over of 21 acres of land to Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) in a colorful ceremony at Nandadaapo Village, Laresoro. Also present was CITAM Head of Missions Rev Joseph Ndung’u and Deputy Head of Mission Serah Kamau and representatives from CITAM Legal and CITAM Communications.
The land will be used to establish a satellite church, school, and other developments that will positively impact the Samburu community. This comes as a great addition to the CITAM Education Scholarship Program, that has given several children in the area, an opportunity to build a better future, through access to education.
Speaking during the handover, the Presiding Bishop Rev. Dr. Calisto Odede shared the organization’s desire to see the people of Laresoro flourish, not just spiritually, but also through rehabilitating land, for sustainable agriculture. He noted that while preaching the Gospel remains at the heart of CITAM’s mission, caring for communities through practical support is equally as important. The church looks forward to seeing transformation in the Samburu Community over the next few years.
“There has been tremendous growth in the Satellite Church at Laresoro over the last six months since its establishment,” Rev Victor Kedemi was glad to say. Rev Kedemi is the pastor in charge of Archers Post Missions Centre. “Considerably, the community acceptance of our ministry has been nothing short of divine intervention.”
The land donation was a result of a previous stakeholders meeting within the Girgir Group Ranch, where the Community members requested that CITAM be allocated land for its ministry activities. The matter was discussed and agreed by consensus, and community mobilization and signature collection was completed. We praise God for this great achievement.
