THE SEND ME 2026 MISSIONS CONFERENCE
The just-concluded “Send Me 2026” Missions Conference, held from 26th to 29th August 2026 at CITAM Valley Road, was a resounding success, drawing together the body of Christ for a powerful movement of prayer, mobilization, and equipping. Under the theme Pray. Go. Harvest. , the conference saw an incredible 1,300 attendees physically present, with thousands more joining virtually, uniting believers in a shared vision for global and local missions.
Inspired by the words of Matthew 9:38 and Psalms 2:8, the conference was designed to challenge the Church to take seriously the call to missional living. It wasn’t just an event but a strategic effort to bridge the gap in missions mobilization, equipping participants to integrate evangelism into their daily lives, workplaces, and spheres of influence .
A Lineup of Anointed Speakers
The conference featured a lineup of renowned speakers who delivered paradigm-shifting plenary sessions and practical workshops. The opening session powerfully set the tone with an exposition of the theme by CITAM’s Presiding Bishop, Rev. Dr. Calisto Odede. Other notable speakers included the Ghanaian missions catalyst, Dr. Yaw Perbi, who challenged attendees on “Serving as a Missionary where you are” and “From here to the ends of the Earth” . Rev. Dr. Shodankeh Johnson from Sierra Leone shared profound insights on “Doing Missions in Challenging Contexts” and “Establishing Disciple-making Communities,” while former Court of Appeal President Justice Daniel Musinga spoke on “The Marketplace as a Mission Field” .
The conference also benefited from the rich contributions of other anointed ministers of the Word. Rev. Jesse Mwai, Senior Pastor of CITAM Valley Road, challenged participants to think afresh about evangelism in his session on “Reimagining Christian Witness in a Post-modern World,” while Rev. Kepha Nyandega, General Secretary of the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya, brought a comprehensive perspective on “Holistic Mission.” Rev. Peter Oyugi addressed the vital theme of “Intergenerational Collaboration in Missions,” emphasizing the need for all generations to work together in advancing the Great Commission. Winnie Mwajuma, a missions catalyst and prayer strategist, stirred the congregation with her powerful teaching on “The Indispensable Role of Prayer in Missions,” reminding attendees that prayer is the foundation of all mission work.
Adding to the spiritual atmosphere, the worship sessions were led by the anointed guest worship minister, Kestin Mbogo, among other worship leaders, whose ministry in songs ushered attendees into profound moments of worship and encounter with God throughout the conference.
Impact and Commitment
The conference successfully met its objectives of equipping believers, fostering intergenerational collaboration, and spurring a passion for prayer. Through dynamic worship, targeted workshops, and intense prayer sessions, participants were equipped with practical tools like digital evangelism and marketplace ministry to confidently share their faith.
The highlight of the event was the powerful response to God’s call. In a moving session of Commissioning, led by Bishop Odede, a multitude of attendees responded to the call to serve in missions . The conference workbook provided a clear Commitment Form for participants to articulate their personal commitment—whether to serve in the church, the marketplace, or as a missionary, and to share their decision with a pastor or mentor for accountability . The spirit of the conference echoed the sentiment from the final plenary: the goal is to “finish the finishables” for God’s kingdom.
Looking Forward
As the conference concluded, its true measure of success was visible in the lives of the participants who left not only equipped and inspired but also committed to actively participating in God’s global harvest. The “Send Me” movement has only just begun, and it is poised to make a lasting impact on Kenya and the world.
