On Sunday, 25th May 2025, CITAM BuruBuru came alive with vibrant celebration as the assembly marked 18 years of impactful ministry and officially launched its newly completed 4000-seater Intercooler Sanctuary. The day began with a colourful march from BuruBuru shopping center to the church premises, led by the spirited melodies of the Prison Police Band—a joyful procession declaring God’s faithfulness.
Upon arrival, a symbolic tree-planting ceremony was held to mark new beginnings and a renewed grounding in Christ. Trees were planted by the Rev. Calisto Odede (Presiding Bishop), Rev. Justus Mugambi (Deputy Bishop), Rev. Ken Isige (DFA), Rev. Jotham Munene (Southern Regional Overseer), and Rev. Dr. Stanley Mung’athia (CITAM Buruburu Senior Pastor and Deputy Regional Overseer-Southern Region).
The 4000-seater sanctuary stands as a major milestone, being the first assembly project launched under the Together In Generosity (TIG) initiative—an inspiring testament to the power of united vision and sacrificial giving.
The celebrations featured beautiful presentations from the Children’s Ministry, the energetic ICED dancers, and a powerful 400-member mass choir made up of singers from multiple CITAM assemblies, including the Men’s Chorale.
The event was graced by a host of dignitaries, among them Bishop Emeritus Rev. Bonifes Adoyo, Rev. David Oginde, former CITAM Buruburu Senior Pastors, Regional Overseers, members of the Council of Elders, the Deacon Board, Trustees, Head Office Managers, and other CITAM pastors. It was truly a day overflowing with colour, joy, and heartfelt thanksgiving to God, as we looked back at His faithfulness.
