The Meru Pastors and Spouses Conference, held on Monday, 16th June 2025 at CITAM Meru, was a significant and spirit-filled gathering that brought together pastors and their spouses from various denominations across Meru County. The conference brought together over 431 attendees, not including 82 ministry workers who served in various capacities.
Bishop Emeritus 2, Rev. Dr. David Oginde and Rev. Calisto Odede Presiding Bishop were the main speakers in the conference. Bishop Oginde shared on the topic, “Empowering Leadership.” He noted that successful leaders need other people to lead an organization well. “One person cannot steer an organization,” Bishop Oginde noted. “One great man leadership must give way to shared leadership. The days of the great man are over.”
Bishop Calisto Odede spoke on the following topics:
“I am going home very fulfilled because I have been blessed as a person,” Bishop Odede was elated to say. “It is a great joy to see so many pastors from different backgrounds together.”
Rev. Paul Njoroge, (the Deputy Northern Region Overseer) and Rev. Geoffrey Ong’ondo (Western Region Overseer) attended the conference.
Rev. Micheal Tsalwa, (Senior Pastor CITAM Meru) was elated to host the conference. “The Pastors Conference was a success, and we give Glory to God in the highest for giving us this opportunity to serve,” one of the members of the planning committee was glad to say. Feedback from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many commending the organization, warmth, and spiritual impact of the conference.
